On an average Sunday, around 65 people gather at the church to worship the Triune God and receive the Means of Grace in the Divine Service. Worshipers attending the church service use Lutheran Service Book to participate in the liturgy and sing hymns which relate to the appointed readings of Holy Scripture and the season of the Church Year. Ordinarily, as we gather to worship almighty God, who is holy and just, we prepare ourselves by participating in the Rite of Confession and Absolution. The Service of the Word is followed by the Service of the Sacrament, where those who have been properly instructed, examined, and subscribe to our confession of faith are invited to receive the Sacrament of the Altar, which we believe is the body and blood of Christ—under the bread and wine—given and shed for the forgiveness of sins.
